the gay cowboy movie

doood. what the hell? i swear i've reviewed both willy wonka and red eye. i know i've seen them both. what the crap? how random. my mom saw both of these movies this past week and i was looking them up and couldn't find them anywhere. and these were just two random movies that i was checking out. are there any others i wonder? the crazy part is that i'm pretty sure i remember writing these reviews. either way, they both sucked.

so ryan got jacked a few days ago in a car crash. wasn't really his fault and he sounds in pretty bad shape. on the bright side, someone got some really good pictures of the totaled blazer here and here. there is a ton of fresh snow this morning outside, yet still no snowboard in sight.

my people back home in bennett's office don't write me back. i'm really not sure why. i almost wonder if either they aren't getting my emails, or i'm not getting theirs. there is the possibility that they could care less about me and i truly was just another intern but i don't believe that. granted i did come and go, and have left many of their minds, but some became friends. i don't know.

i think all of my law schools have finally gotten all of my reports. i'm at the phase now that i used to hear about where it's truly out of your hands. there is no point for me to go to the stupid lsac website anymore. i've been going there about three times a day for the past three or so months. there is nothing i can do now.

Brokeback Mountain (2005): well i did it. where to begin. heath ledger was really good. i mean, really good. i haven't seen capote, but philip seymour hoffman's performance better be damn good to win the globe over ledger. in fact, everyone's performance was perfect. each character was so unique and believable. and even the sheep were good. i've never seen so many in my life. after seeing them all, you'll be glad that they have each other because i can't even imagine the outcome of only one lonely cowboy, and a thousand lonely sheep. the cinematography is beautiful. the parts of wyoming that are shown will probably boost their tourism. it's certainly not the i-80 wyoming that i know of. portraying the state, the cowboy life, the 60's and 70's in podunkville, were all as perfect as can be. as far as the gay stuff, there were a few times of uncomfortableness (i don't think that's a word) for me, but only because the 'intimate moments' were so aggressive. it was like edward james olmos in american me all over again. in the end, it was an amazing love story. my only complaint is that the story never really builds. it just kind of trucks along until the ending hits. you'll realize through the movie that there is really no way for it to end on happy note, but either way, the ending was just great. it really is a beautiful movie and deserving of the hype. i suppose i'll buy it some time in the future. all else should see it. all the bitches who are so anti this movie and who refuse to see it are stupid. there are legitimate reasons to not want to see this movie. but people like larry miller are bastards and his reasons for not showing the movie in his theaters are not legit. the jazz suck, your car dealerships suck, and i'm sure you are a closet homosexual. it's a freaking movie people. get over it.
